Plant & Production-Line Moves
254 MACHINES. ONE PLANT MOVE. ZERO GUESSWORK.
For a precision-fastener manufacturer’s four-phase plant relocation, we turned a photo-verified inventory of 254 machines into 124 engineered build units — protecting every piece for ocean transit while cutting handling, tracking, and freight.
Built to protect. · Packed to last. · Shipped with care.

The Difference Proper Inventorying Makes
THE RIGHT PROTECTION ISN’T MORE CRATES — IT’S THE RIGHT CRATES.
Crate every machine individually and you build 254 separate units — one footprint, one bag, one tracking number at a time. We inventoried, photographed, and engineered the load first.
BEFORE — ITEM-BY-ITEM CRATING · 254 UNITS
One skid or crate per machine:
254 separate builds to cut, assemble & band
Wasted deck space between mismatched items
More flat-racks — every tall piece stands alone
254 labels to track; high mix-up risk
AFTER — VELOCRATE CONSOLIDATION · 124 UNITS
Skids grouped by size, weight & plant zone:
Heavy items centered, bearers under the load
Small parts nested into shared, foam-lined crates
Out-of-gauge pieces isolated to dedicated flat-racks
Every item photo-manifested to its skid
130 fewer build units — roughly half the things to build, load, and track. Out-of-gauge equipment on 7 dedicated flat-racks — not 13. Consolidation keeps tall machines upright in shared skids, so only the true oversized pieces need specialized flat-rack equipment — the most expensive line on any ocean move.
How We Did It
EVERY PHASE FOLLOWED THE SAME DISCIPLINED PATH.
The reason nothing shipped to the wrong place.
01 — INVENTORY & PHOTOGRAPH
Every machine measured, weighed, and captured by sticker number.
02 — ENGINEER THE LOAD
Items grouped by size, weight, and plant zone into optimized build units.
03 — BUILD TO SPEC
ISPM-15 lumber, MIL-spec VCI bagging, desiccant, CDX crates for ocean transit.
04 — MANIFEST & LOAD
Photo manifest by skid; container load-out planned before the first crate ships.
