On-Site Crating & On-Location Service
WE BRING THE CRATE TO YOUR DOCK — OR BUILD IT AROUND THE MACHINE.
For most jobs, we engineer and build your crate or skid at our facility and bring it to your site ready to pack and load. When an item is too large, too heavy, or too awkward to pre-crate and move first, we bring the shop to you and build it in place. Either way, your equipment’s first move is the one that’s already protected.
The Problem With Moving It First
THE RISKIEST MOMENT IS THE ONE BEFORE THE ITEM IS PROTECTED.
Most damage doesn’t happen on the highway. It happens in the first fifty feet — when a machine gets skidded across a plant floor, lifted without a plan, or wrapped in whatever’s on the shelf just to get it out the door. Every extra handling step is another chance to break something that costs six figures to replace.
Whether we roll a pre-built crate up to your dock or build one around the item where it sits, the protection is engineered and in place before the item makes its first move — not improvised after it’s already been handled.
How On-Site Works
PRE-BUILT AND DELIVERED, OR BUILT IN PLACE.
PRE-CONSTRUCTED CRATES & SKIDS — OUR STANDARD
We measure your item, engineer and build the crate or skid at our facility, then bring it to your site ready to pack and load. It’s cleaner and faster — no fabrication debris on your floor, and the crate arrives already built, stamped, and inspected. Best for the majority of equipment, machinery, and palletized loads.
BUILT ON-SITE FOR OVERSIZED LOADS
When an item is too large, too heavy, or too oddly shaped to pre-crate and transport, we bring the shop to you and build the crate around the item, in place — measured, engineered, cushioned, and packed where it stands. Best for installed machinery, out-of-gauge equipment, and anything that can’t safely move before it’s crated.
Both include: engineering to the item’s exact weight, size, and fragility · rigging coordination with your team · ISPM-15 stamps and documentation when it’s headed overseas.

The Process
FOUR STEPS, ONE CREW, NO HANDOFFS.
01
SITE VISIT
We come to you and assess the item, the access, the doorways, the dock, and the route out. Columbus-area jobs typically get a same-day visit; Cincinnati runs on our daily I-71 lane.
02
ENGINEER THE BUILD
We spec the crate, the bracing, the cushioning, and the lift points — and coordinate rigging if the item needs it.
03
BUILD & PACK ON LOCATION
Our crew builds the crate at your facility and packs the item in place, with no pre-move handling.
04
SHIP IT OR STAGE IT
We can move it on our own freight — LTL to white-glove, domestic or international — or leave it staged and ready for your carrier.
PROTECTED PHYSICALLY AND FINANCIALLY.
Carrier liability pays by the pound — often pennies on the dollar for high-value equipment. We offer full declared-value coverage options, so a six-figure machine is protected for what it’s actually worth, not what it weighs.
